MOVIE TIME – India Box Office

Hola, this week Movie Time brings you three releases. We have two English movies and one Hindi – “12 Years A Slave”, “I, Frankenstein” and “One by Two”, respectively.

One By TwoONE BY TWO (Hindi):

It’s a romantic comedy about two persons who are fed up with life and circumstances. Directed by Devika Bhagat, the movie has Abhay Deol and Preeti Desai as the main lead.

Interestingly, they are a real life couple coming on screen together for the first time. Another urban aspiration?

12 YEARS A SLAVE (English):

12 years a slaveThis British-American historical is the story of Solomon Northup who is a free negro working as a skilled carpenter and fiddle player, and living with his family in New York before two men cheat him with a musician’s job. He is drugged, chained and sold. There begins one man’s fight for survival. Must he survive?

He survives many a slave owners and also manages to fight for his dignity. A mix of brutality and kindness together is guaranteed in 12 Years A Slave. Will the slave be ultimately restored to freedom? Watch and share.

Directed by Steve McQueen, the cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lupita Nyong’o and Brad Pitt. This Oscar nominated movie won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – drama.


I, FrankensteinDirected by Stuart Beattie, this is a Australian – American fantasy action movie and the cast includes Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy and Yvonne Strahovski.

The story is about Adam the creature Dr. Frankenstein created 200 years ago who still walks the Earth and gets to know he can destroy the world. And then the adventure begins.

And so the first month of 2014 ends today. It did bring a few good movies and some traffic on the Box Office. Which all you could see this year! Let’s watch what February has in hold for us from next week. Till then, gear up for the Valentines.
