Govinda raises both the boys as killers who shoot at the drop of the hat without any remorse. Ranveer falls for Parineeti Chopra who plays his love interest. Govinda is against the couple which creates a drift.
An action-romance produced by Aditya Chopra, Kill Dil is full of stunts unlike other recent Yash Raj films. Parineeti and Govinda are in never seen before avatars. Govinda is cunning and don like while Parneeti is bold and has raunchy moves unlike her old avatar of a simple girl next door.
Music of is composed by Shanker, Ehsaan and Loy while lyrics are penned by Gulzar. ‘Sweeta’ and title track ‘Kill Dil’ are doing well with audiences.
6-5=2 (Hindi): Inspired by the Blair Witch Project theme comes a Hindi remake of Kannada film 6-5=2. Based on a true life story, this is a found footage horror film where in director-producer Bharat Jain narrates his own experiences as a trekker.
Similar to English film ‘The Blair Witch Project’ series which is made on found footage from a real life incident, 6-5=2 is also shot in same format. A group of six friends who go on a trek in the jungle face some supernatural forces and then it becomes fatal.
The cast includes Prashant Gupta, Gaurav Paswalla, Niharica Raizada, Gaurav Kothari, Ashrut Jain and Disha Kapoor.
JOHN WICK (English): Keanu Reeves who is best suited in action films is back as John Wick. Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick is an action thriller.
John Wick receives a dog called Daisy as a gift from his wife posthumously. Eventually, he connects to the dog and takes him around in his Mustang everywhere.
One day he gets involved with Russian Mafia who want his car. When he refuses, he is attacked and Daisy is killed mercilessly. John takes revenge which unfolds a greater mystery. Keanu Reeves, Michael Nyqvist, Alfie Allen and Adranne Palicki feature in the lead.
BOYHOOD (English): Directed by Richard Linklater, this is a coming-of-age film. The director shot this film over a span of 12 years with the same actor. Ellar Coltrane was signed by Linklater in 2002 and they have been shooting Boyhood ever since.
Linklater cast Ethan Hawke as Ellar’s father and Patricia Arquette and told Ethan in case he dies in between, he is to complete the film. The story deals with various shades of growing up process from 2002 to present, from toys to video games to girls to alcohol.
In other releases this week is fairy tale ‘BEAUTY AND THE BEAST‘, directed by Christophe Gans, which stars Vincent Cassel and Lea Seydoux. The film is based on a novel of the same name; GARAM HAWA (Hindi), directed by M.S Sathyu, is a re-release of the 1973 classic, starring Balraj Sahani, Farooq Sheikh and Shaukat Kaifi. It is the story of Mirza family during the turbulent times of 1947 partition – a masterpiece on display again.
