Movie Time – India Box Office

This weekend brings us a romantic-comedy, a horror and a thriller. The releases this Friday on the India Box Office are Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Poltergeist and Tomorrow Land.


TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS: This is a sequel to the 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu, directed by Aanand L. Rai and features Jimmy Sheirgill, R. Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut, Swara Bhaskara, Deepak Dobriyal and Zeeshan Ayyub.  

The story begins where they left four years back and traces the ups and downs of the wedding of Tanu and Manu. Fate twists and turns their lives and things change forever. A marriage turned sour, a search for love, a comedy of errors and a destined bond, Tanu Weds Manu Returns brings us all shades of love and life.

The music is composed by Krsna Solo who debuted in Tanu Weds Manu with his music and got a few awards also for that. The music has been appreciated post release. The movie also has two old songs which move with the story as it evolves. The number ‘Banno’ hits a high on the charts.


POLTERGEIST: Directed by Gill Kenan, this is a supernatural horror. A remake of Steven Spielberg’s and Tobe Hooper’s 1982 film of the same name, the film stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, and Jane Adams. Poltergeist means ‘Noisy Ghost’ in German so now you know what to expect in the film!

TOMORROWLAND: Directed by Brad Bird, the film features George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie. A Science fiction film Tommorowland as the name suggests takes us on a journey where Frank and Cassey travel to a place somewhere in time and space where their actions affect the world.
