Movie Time – India Box Office

The releases this week on India Box Office –


DIL DHADKANE DO: Directed by Zoya Akhtar, this is a comedy about serious relationships in life. The film is the story of a rich Punjabi family on a cruise together. The character of the parents is played by Anil Kapoor and Shafali Chaya who want their son Ranveer Kapoor to be married to a girl he does not like. They also have a daughter in Priyanka Chopra who is married to Rahul Bose but is unhappy and wants divorce.

On the cruise, they meet their love interests being Farhan Akhtar and Anoushka Sharma and then the adventure begins. The film also features Waheeda Rehman and Parmeet Sethi in supporting roles.  

Music is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. The songs are topping the charts. Gallan Gooriyan and the title song Dil Dhadkane Do are doing pretty well.


WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAY:  This is a British comedy about a family of five who go to Scottish Highlands, to visit their grandfather who is ailing with cancer. They all meet to celebrate his 75th birthday .

The film features David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly.


THE AGE OF ADALINE: An epic romance fantasy movie, the film tells the extraordinary story of Adaline. A girl who stops ageing due to a miracle that happens and though she gains her youth forever … she loses on relationships and life in the bargain.

A beautiful film which deals with romance through the ages and the courage of the girl whose daughter looks older than her own self.

Directed by Lee Toland Krieger, the film stars Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew, Harrison Ford, and Ellen Burstyn.
