Movie Time – India Box Office

Another weekend is here and this time the Box Office brings ‘Spy’ an English comedy mixed with thrills to keep you laughing and ‘ABCD 2’ a Hindi dance delight which will keep you tapping. The releases this week:

maxresdefaultSPY: Nargis Fakri debuts in Hollywood with SPY, the story of Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) who is CIA’s top analyst. The adventure begins when she turns into a field agent.

Even though Susan had field training, she spent all the years of her career on the desk with agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law). Susan is the one who helps Bradley avoid danger. She then faces the Bulgarian arms dealer Rayna Boyanov (Rose Byrne), which is her first undercover assignment to help capture Boyanov.

Directed by Paul Feig, the film features Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Jason Statham and Nargis Fakri. A comedy movie Spy will keep you rolling in laughter!

big_364698_1429681439ABCD 2: Directed by Remo D’Souza, here comes the sequel to 2013 film ABCD. The story is the journey of an Indian dance troupe, from the backstreets of a Mumbai suburb to Las Vegas. The triumphs of their rise and heartache of their fall and the struggle in between is featured in the film.  The film is based on a true story of a dance group from Nalasopara, Maharashtra, called Fictitious Dance Academy.

Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor play the lead roles in ABCD 2. Varun says in an interview that, “It’s his journey, from a boy to man, the relationship with his guru (Prabhu Deva), and taking dance to a next level. ABCD 2 is patriotic, emotional with a strong Indian connect.”

“Even the love story between our characters, of Suresh and Vinnie, is based on Remo and his wife,” says Kapoor.

The music has been topping the charts as did ABCD earlier. Lyrics are penned by Mayur Puri and music by Sachin-Jigar.
