Movie Time – India Box Office

The box office brings National award winners Tabu and Ajay Devgan back together in Drishyam. Earlier they have been seen together in Vijaypath, Haqeeqat and Thakshak. A remake of the Malayam film of the same name Drishyam is an intense murder mystery thriller.

Directed by Nishikant Kamaat, it is the story of a young boy Sam going missing and the family of Vijay Salagaonkar (played by Ajay Devgan) being the main suspects. Sam is the son of a no-nonsense Police IG Meera (played by Tabu). Vijay, a hard working man, is a self made cable man and stands for only one thing and that is his family.

The Salagoankar family happens to be the last to see Sam the day he goes missing. The fight for proving the innocence of his family,  Vijay takes up all measures but will be able to find any justice against the strong and powerful … or is there more to the mystery than just what you can see.

The lyrics are by Gulzar and the music is composed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The movie was earlier released in Malayam, Telegu, Kannada and now in Hindi and Tamil. Along with Ajay Devgan and Tabu we also have Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapur in character roles.

The next release at the India Box Office is Pixels. Directed by Chris Columbus, this a science fiction film, with Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Michelle Monaghan in the lead roles. The aliens misinterpret feeds of a video game as a declaration of war and so they attack Earth. Judging the circumstances the President of the United States calls upon a special team to deal with the current situation.

This is all for the week ahead. In case you have not seen last weeks Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Masaan then go ahead and do not miss them. Till next week … ciao!
