This week, we have Wazir, Our Brand Is Crisis, Daddy’s Home and Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure in theatres, while people are still watching last year’s releases.
Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar are names enough to tempt you to visit the multiplex near you, as both have excellent onscreen presence. Today, they are known to the movie buffs as capable of taking on any challenge. This time you see a paralysed chess master and a grief-stricken officer in a movie which ought to have been a Hollywood venture for Vidhu Vinod Chopra. But, time took its own toll and several titles were replaced until Wazir was finalised along with its several characters including that of Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham.
Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure
In this desi animation, Chhota Bheem goes out on a vacation with his friends. You can imagine what they would do in the snow clad mountains of the Himalayas! At Manali, people are fed up with a goon named Hidimbak, whom they take to task. It should be a thorough blend of adventure and humour.
Our Brand Is Crisis
One of this world’s most loved Celebrity Star of all times Sandra Bullock might have her toughest campaign yet in the movie, but she has a solid team behind her. Yes, Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton are better than ever in Our Brand Is Crisis, co-produced by George Clooney. Based on the 2005 documentary film of same name, the drama is the satire about the Americanisation of a presidential campaign in Bolivia.
This comedy film marks the second collaboration between Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, following the 2010 action-comedy film The Other Guys. An early movie goer has already written about it as… “Took my 90-year-old grandmother and she laughed the whole time and said it was the funniest movie she has ever seen.” Well, yes… you can roll into the New Year with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell.
