Movie Time – India Box Office

Three good watchable movies hit the screens this Friday at the India Box Office – Ki & Ka, The Divergent Series – Allegiant and Kung Fu Panda 3.

mgid-ao-image-mtvThe Divergent Series: Allegiant: The third in the Divergent series, this is the sequel to ‘Insurgent’ and will be followed by ‘Ascendant’. Directed by Robert Schwentke, the film is based on the novel Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. The film features Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels and Naomi Watts.

In this installment Tris and Four escape beyond the wall of Chicago and face shocking truths about life and their existence. For survival Tris has to prove allegiance, love and show courage to bring back some peace. If you have not seen the last two films of this series you are missing out on all the action.

KUNG FU PANDAKung Fu Panda 3: Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, this is a sequel to the 2011 film Kung Fu Panda 2 and the third instalment in the Kung Fu Panda series. The film features the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, J. K. Simmons, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, James Hong, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Randall Duk Kim.

In this sequel to Kung Fu Panda 2, Po the Dragon Warrior gets to know that his real father is looking for him. He discovers a whole new world of Pandas and also fights the evil Kai who is out to destroy everyone.

ki-and-ka-story-+-fb_647_010216112711Ki & Ka: Directed by R. Balki, the film is the story of a boy and a girl who love each other and are ready to take up marriage. The only difference is that the boy sits home, cooks and the girl steps out to earn a living. They try and break all traditions of the typical Indian society marriage by sporting these reverse roles. Will they be successful in making a happy marriage or will the love wear off soon?

The film features Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Swaroop Sampat and Rajat Kapoor. We also see Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in cameo roles.
