Movie Time – India Box Office

This week gives us a few interesting releases which will have a good impact hopefully on the Box-Office.

Directed by Ram Gopal Verma, the film is based on the encounters of the famous bandit Veerapan. It takes us into the deep jungles and shows the events related to Operation Cocoon which was carried out as one of the numerous attempts to kill Veerappan. A group of police officers lead by Kannan is sent out to capture the bandit. To lure Veerappan out from the forest, a girl Priya is sent to meet up with Muthulakshmi, Veerappan’s wife, and eventually capture him.

The film features Sandeep Bharadwaj, Sachiin J Joshi, Usha Jadhav, and Lisa Ray.


Directed by Rajesh Butalia, this is a story of a 16 year old boy who has a special bond with another boy. When the father gets to know about this bond he gets violent and then some disasters take place which change the future forever. Many years later, a dark mysterious shadow is killing everyone and no one gets to know who he is… so a suspended IB agent along with his wife go undercover to get behind the mystery of Fredrick, the dark shadow.

The film features Prashant Narayanan, Tulna and Avinash Dhyani.


After some stunning performances in Badlapur, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Radhika Apte is back in this psychological thriller. Directed by Pawan Kriplani this is the story of Mehak who is an artist suffering from agoraphobia. This is an extreme fear of open or public places so as a result she gets trapped in her own house.


A deadly combination of Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin in an emotional drama where grief eventually gets two strangers together. Directed by Anu Menon, the film features Naseeruddin Shah, Kalki Koechlin, Rajat Kapoor,Suhasini Maniratnam and Arjun Mathur.

angrybirdsmovieTHE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE:

Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reily, this is an animated adventure through a happy village of birds who cannot fly. Do you know why are the Angry Birds angry? Well, in this movie we finally get to know why are they angry!!! The film features Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage.


Directed by James Bobin, the film is based on Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll and is the sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. The film stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.
