OK JAANU

Movies always show us the future trends, be it in technology or relationships. We have been noticing a new trend in the latest releases, which shows how the young generation runs away from marriage and commitments but wanna have good fun along the way of life.

They are seen partying late nights, drinking, dancing and kissing openly. They barely go to work and are mostly well provided for by their folks.

This Mani Ratnam-Karan Johar movie is somewhat on these lines only. Two youngsters Adi and Tara have great futures planned up but as they bump into each other at a function the plans go for a six. It is clear they don’t want to get married but wanna live in and be in a relationship for fun.

The problem starts when they need to separate and are not able to cope with the stress of separation or commitment.

The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film called O Kadhal Kanmani and is directed by Shaad Ali. The film features Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson in main roles.

Its music has created a few ripples with Badshaah’s remixed version of A.R Rahman’s Humma and Enna Sona.

HARAAMKHOR

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has always done off beat movies with sensitive topics. In Haraamkhor we see him as a teacher who hits students and abuses them. Directed by Shlok Sharma, the film deals with the difficulties young girls face during their adolescent years.
