Here comes some unique cinema with a simple story; a simple bored housewife who sends lunch daily for her husband who is slogging his life to meet ends and never notices that she is also there in his life.

The dabbawala (the man who delivers the lunch box) accidentally gives the dabba (lunch box) that morning to someone else. He who is about to retire and is a widower does full justice to her cooking skills. Next day she sends him a thank you note in the lunch box and he replies back to her. And so begins the journey of love, memories, expectations, appreciations and takes cooking to a different level.

How interesting would it be to see a plot where a lunch box leads to romance!

Directed by Ritesh Batra, The Lunch Box is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Guneet Monga and Arun Rangachari and the cast includes Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Lillete Dubey in the main roles. Music is by Max Richter.
